Happy Monday everyone!

We are back from “break”.

Both the kiddies and I have so much energy today so we did a lot of redirecting lol. They didn’t want to stop playing with pipe cleaners today but I had to get their stretching and reading done. If you have ever been around a toddler who’s not yet ready to leave the park or stop playing with a toy, then you know the struggle that ensues once you’ve said “it’s time to go…etc!”

But it doesn’t have to be that way!

Introducing the magical timer… okay it’s not magical but it has worked wonders for me.

I noticed a while back that when I set a timer on my phone while at the park, Indie would be more willing to leave. I do warn her with a countdown so she’s not caught off guard with “sorry timer is up...”.

I am also very firm with when time is up. There is pushback at times but I stand my ground and reassure that there will be many more park days, or time to play, etc.

I love using a timer that’s more visible so they can see just how much time is left. I got this one from @amazon

Let me know if you use timers too? Comment below ⏱
